Daybreak Academy is now over, and has been converted into an AU sandbox/dressing room setting. It ran from January 2019 and ended in March 2021.

This page remains as an archive of applicants and its former state as a RP game.

As of December 1, 2020, applications from NEW PLAYERS are no longer allowed. FORMER AND CURRENT PLAYERS, however, are welcome to reapply with old characters (or to introduce new ones), if desired.

If returning with an old character, feel free to reuse your old apps, though we ask that you elaborate on what they've been doing in their absence in their history.

This factors mental age, so if your character is very young mentally even if they are older physically or vice-versa, they'll be placed in a grade appropriate to their age.)

RACE: (Many characters will be human, but characters from the Outland are also permitted if desired. Outland, as well as afflicted characters such as Vampires or Werewolves. Common mythological creatures are generally permissible, but may require additional organization with the mods for acceptance.)
SECRET SOCIETY: (Describe your character's place within a Secret Society if applicable. If the character is a Candle, this can be as simple as having manifested powers and been recruited to the school but if the character is a Vampire or Werewolf, this should be more in-depth about their clan and their standing within their clan)

POWERS: (Describe how your characters abilities manifest and how they use them. Powers can be modeled closely to a character's canon abilities, with the major caveat being they will have to be reduced in overall power if they include abilities that can shatter planets or otherwise break the game)

Thanks to the recent ~Dreams~ event, Jonathan's gained a shiny new power from the experiences within the dream. It's not a Stand. Definitely.

Definitely.

(It's definitely based on the stand he apparently would have had according to Araki, who definitely never contradicts himself ever)

Manifesting as the ability to create spiritual vines in a sort of violet-indigo hue, Jonathan can spawn from himself not quite a weapon but perhaps more accurately a tool for communication and for energy carrying. The vines are thorned mind- so that WOULD hurt, but any combative use is solely in how they can carry his Hamon through them from one end to the other.

The vines are very strong- he could theoretically spiderman swing with them, even while in his pilotable body (more on that below)- but they could be cut or broken by other objects with enough intent going into it.

More interestingly is their capacity for communication- while unable to quite achieve what Joseph's counterpart Hermit Purple could ~~saves on cameras that way~~, Jonathan can communicate intent and thought through the vines and manifest messages elsewhere in image form; these vines can travel a great distance through or beneath the surroundings, making them effective for stealth communication as well! In contrast, reaching far enough with the vines allows Jonathan himself to 'see' what is at the other end (Though this has its limits, and the image he gets isn't very clear if it's too far)

NOW THEN ABOUT THAT BODY

Basically, a while ago, Jonathan had Rex create a 'phantom' for him. A fancy way of saying 'it's an organic mech that looks just like he used to in life'. He enters and exits typically through the back of the head, but he can also escape through the mouth in a pinch. Over all, while in the body he's...just capable of what he used to be while a human. Of course, being a 6'5'' muscle guy that means part of the capabilities involve being able to beat the tar out of things, but hey!
