NPC APPLICATIONS

NPC APPLICATIONS
Log Comm | Network Comm | OOC Comm | Navigation
If desired, you may play a temporary character as an NPC to assist in a player or mod plot. Before mod plots begin, there may be a call for NPCs if applicable, and players are free to post calls for NPCs in the OOC Community at any point after their plot is approved.
NPCs function on different rules than normal characters. They can remain in the game for no longer than 3 months at a time, and are exempt from Activity Check (although interaction with them in a player plot counts as activity for regular characters). NPCs can be villains or side characters that help a plot run smoothly. NPCs may be original or canon characters, but we do ask that if applying an NPC you restrict them to minor characters that aren’t likely to be actively apped into a game due to lack of screentime or acceptable backstory/personality information. NPCs may tag around the community, but may not make their own posts outside of a player plot post for a plot they have been assigned to.
You are not required to have an active character in Daybreak Academy to play an NPC, but all players are restricted to 3 active NPCs at any given time. You may apply any NPC as a full character by submitting a full application for them at any time. If for some reason someone else is interested in playing the character you are running as an NPC, you will have the first opportunity to use your NPC to hold a reserve - if you do not intend to apply them as a full character the other player may proceed and you will stop playing them as an NPC upon the character's acceptance into the game.
